Artwork idea: The idea of this installation is associated with constant change and renewal. Objects to which coins are glued mean nostalgia for the past Lithuanian currency. They shine like fish scales. Art objects seem to be floating along the river. And this is a sign that says that everything changes and flows. Installation offers to interpret the movement of the currency. With the help of many benevolent people, we collected more than 4,000 of the smallest Lithuanian coins. Thanks to all and especially to the artists Grazhina and Valentin Ayauski, Andrius Makaryavičius and Victor Binkis. We thank lighting designer Maxim Semenov for the consultation.
